In an effort to promote greater consumer awareness and access to quality voice and broadband services, TMG was selected by the Telecommunications Superintendence of Costa Rica (SUTEL) to review and update existing Quality of Service (QoS) Regulations. The project involves conducting a technical analysis of existing key performance indicators (KPIs), compliance thresholds and measurement methodologies for fixed, mobile and broadband services under the current regulations in view of technology and market developments as well as international best practices and standards. TMG’s responsibilities will include providing SUTEL with options and recommendations on updating or withdrawing existing KPIs, refining measurement methodologies and adding new KPIs, where warranted. The overall goal of the project is to define a QoS regulatory framework for telecommunications that focuses primarily on the end-user experience and ensures high quality services to Costa Rican consumers.
