TMG to develop digital economy agile regulation training materials

Arlington, VA – TMG and Macmillan Keck were selected by the World Bank to develop learning materials on agile regulation in the context of digital infrastructure and data protection in Africa. In particular, the modules will address legal, technical, and economic considerations for digital regulation design and implementation. The TMG/Macmillan Keck team will craft materials for use in online self-paced courses and online or face-to-face training workshops and will also deliver hybrid facilitated training sessions based on case studies. The project builds on the World Bank’s Agile Regulation for Digital Transformation (A.Reg4DT) initiative, which aims to prepare policymakers and regulators to lead Africa’s digital transformation.

The training program is oriented toward African policymakers, information and communications technology (ICT) regulators, and data protection authorities. This work will assist them in establishing coherent regulatory frameworks suited for their specific needs, designing appropriate policy and regulatory tools, and implementing policy initiatives and regulations that support and accelerate a more inclusive and sustainable digital transformation.
